As a volunteer, you are the FACE of the GHO! Your warm smiles, helpful spirit, and welcoming attitude leave a lasting impression. We heard time and again how friendly and welcoming our volunteers were — you truly made the event unforgettable!
Volunteer shifts are typically 4 hours (Kickoff Party shifts are 2 hours), and every role is important in helping the tournament run smoothly and feel inviting.

🎉 Kickoff Party Volunteers - Thursday Evening - Waterfront Stadium
Help us launch the Grand Haven Open in style! These shifts are shorter (about 2 hours) and full of energy.

Set-Up Crew 4–6 people – Help set up fencing, tents, banners/signs and tables.

Set Up Crew @ PB Courts 3 people - Set up signage, banners and medal platform.

Greeters 2–3 people - Welcome guests, answer questions, and set the tone with your friendly smile.

Photo Taker -1 person - Capture the fun, candid moments of the evening.

Take Down Crew 2-3 people – Help pack up and take down the fencing.
🏓 Tournament Volunteers Friday–Sunday - Mulligan's Hollow
Help us with two shifts - AM & PM to keep the tournament running smoothly and create a great experience for players and fans alike.

Registration – Assist with player check-in, hand out t-shirts & swag bags, greet and check in volunteers, and distribute volunteer shirts. 4 people AM, 4 people PM

Court Captains – Assigned to 2–3 courts; manage scorecards, confirm scores and player initials, and return cards to registration. 6 people AM, 6 people PM

Medal Presenter – Present medals to each winning team and help set them up for their photos on the medal platform. 1 person AM, 1 person PM

Medal Platform Photographer – Capture photos of the top 3 teams as they receive their medals, send photos to Social Media volunteer and send photo of the winners names. 1 person AM, 1 person PM

Extra Helper – A flexible support role, stepping in wherever needed. 1 person AM, 1 person PM
